This parish apostolate began in 2020. Its purpose is to bring together Catholic homeschooling families and provide faith related activities and social opportunities. The Homeschool Consortium supports homeschooling families through spiritual growth and friendship. Families do not have to be parishioners to join.
What Do We Do
The Homeschool Consortium meets for the 12:10 pm Mass every First Friday. After Mass we gather for lunch in Knights Hall. Lunch is followed by an informative talk with the parish pastor, Fr. Dave R. Ireland. Families hear solid Catholic teaching on a variety of faith related topics. Previous topics have included: the sacraments, Latin prayers, and the saints.
Meetings usually last two hours with plenty of opportunity to connect with one another. Parents bring simple crafts for the littlest ones and board games for the older children depending on the time of the year. There is also time for the children to just run around and enjoy their time together. Our past meetings have included:
Suggestions for activities or topics are always welcome.
